Nagra Audio Special Open Day at Criterion Audio
So, imagine our delight when a pile of substantial crates arrived from Nagra’s UK distributor Padood Ltd, containing the company’s awe-inspiring top-end DAC, preamplifier and monobloc power amplifiers.
Reason for the delivery – apart from exposing us to the high-ground of Nagra’s genius – was to set up a truly awesome music system for customers to enjoy during a special open day on Saturday February 23rd.
The system comprises a Nagra HD DAC X and external power supply, an HD Pre pre-amplifier with external power supply, and two towering HD Amp monobloc power amplifiers, all of which will be partnered with a variety of loudspeakers throughout the day including KEF’s Blade 2, YG Acoustics Carmel 2, PMC Speakers FACT12 and Proac Loudspeakers – England’s K series.
Digital signals will arrive courtesy of an Aurender N10 for the morning, then from 1pm, analogue will rule via an SME audio UK 30/2 turntable and Series V tonearm, fitted with a Harmony moving-coil cartridge from Shelter, and fed through a 508 phono pre-amplifier from Boulder Amplifiers.
