TIAS2017 Controlling pleasure

Not often you see a knob labelled “pleasure control”, but the darTZeel preamp has one, and when we were listening, pleasure was set to +2dB!

With feed from sources by Playback Designs, the darTZeel was driving the Monitor Audio Platinum II speakers and with power conditioning from Isotek. The sound was warm and rich—a long listening session was tempting, but just too many other rooms to visit at the Tokyo International Audio Show.
